FIND A GAME / AI & SOURCES

AI browser games

Want an AI story that responds to your choices, or a browser game made with AI assistance? These are different experiences. Start with the AI's role, then check the entry requirements.

Quick comparison

AI Dungeon: generated story during play
Text input and publisher-described account conditions. Documentation only; our live entry and gameplay are unverified.
Vines: AI-assisted development
Keyboard-controlled prototype. A scene and D movement were checked, not a full session or saving.
Diablo and WebXash: browser ports
Existing game data and separate file requirements. They are not evidence of AI-generated stories or AI-made games.

AI DURING PLAY / SOURCE REVIEW ONLY

AI Dungeon

Choose this if you want a text adventure that reacts to what you write. The official guide describes AI-generated responses to player actions. That is AI in the running game, not a claim that AI made all its code or artwork.

Browser entry
AI Dungeon web app (opens in a new tab)
Interaction
Text actions and story input, described by the publisher
Account
The official guide says an activated account is needed for the full experience
Cost & network
The guide describes basic free access, optional Premium features and an internet connection. Check current plans on the original site.
Our check
Official documentation reviewed October 11, 2026. Live entry and gameplay not verified; a homepage attempt timed out in our browser.

Start with a setting and character, then use a Do, Say or Story turn. Generated responses can be inconsistent; the guide offers editing and retry tools. Do not treat generated text as factual advice or put private information into story prompts.

AI IN CREATION / LIMITED DESKTOP CHECK

Vines of Ore and Mercury

Choose this if you want a keyboard-controlled prototype, rather than a conversation with an AI narrator. The author disclosed AI assistance for code and graphics, including concept art and sprites. We have no evidence that AI generates the world during play or made the whole game.

Author disclosure and limited entry observation recorded October 11, 2026. The author page could not be reopened in this research pass.

Project reference, not a gameplay screenshot.

What starting this prototype involved

Our earlier desktop Chrome check opened the menu, selected Easy, loaded a scene and observed movement with D. The checked entry did not ask for your own game data or a sign-in. This does not establish every control, a completed session or touch support.

Open the author's HTML5 player and use the menu's Easy option. Read the original instructions if the current build differs. We do not host the project or provide its files.

Browser ports are a different category

Diablo Web and WebXash bring existing games or engines to a browser. Being linked from an AI-named directory or the Radiant list does not prove AI-generated code, assets or gameplay. They are not listed here as AI-made games.

A chess computer opponent is another use of AI. An opponent that chooses moves is not, by itself, evidence of generative storytelling or AI-assisted development.

How to choose AI games in a browser

  1. For a changing narrative, start with AI Dungeon's official guide and account conditions. For an AI-assisted action prototype, read the Vines setup notes.
  2. Check what the AI actually does. Author disclosure is evidence of claimed assistance, not an independent audit of an entire game's creation.
  3. Separate a publisher's browser-support statement from our own observations. Neither a working HTTP link nor a visible menu proves a full game works.
  4. Check keyboard or touch controls, account needs, costs and data requirements on the original site. Mobile gameplay and full sessions have not been tested here.

Original games, not directory documents

The web app and author release above are project destinations. Their documentation explains requirements; it is not a game player. Other directories, social posts and archived references can help discover a project but should not replace its current original entry.

This is a small, source-led starting guide, not a complete or ranked list of the best free AI games. The checked directory still contains 19 browser projects; AI Dungeon is a documentation-only example, not an additional gameplay-checked listing.
