FIGHTING / BROWSER PROJECT

Animal Combat in browser

A Godot HTML5 fighting demo by GreenFoxCR. Its Training path lets you inspect a fighter and the keyboard prompts without implying the full game's promised modes are available.

Basis: project instructions and limited desktop entry observation. Observations: Oct 14, 2026. Conditions organized: October 14, 2026.

Keyboard menu navigation reached Small Wild training with Scrap against Soot. Right-arrow input moved the character; P opened pause and Enter resumed. No sign-in or own files were requested. Damage, full fights, tower completion, saves and mobile play remain unverified.

Project type: Native browser game

GreenFoxCR publishes an original Godot HTML5 fighting demo and discloses AI-assisted code. Its practice scene loaded in the browser; future releases and mobile claims remain unverified.

Classification organized October 14, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.

Before you open it

Getting started

  1. Open GreenFoxCR's original release and wait for the main menu. Focus the game area if keys do not respond.
  2. Choose Play, then Training. Our check used Small Wild and Scrap; menu choices can be navigated with arrow keys and Enter.
  3. Use the arrow keys for the limited movement check and P to pause. Read How to Play before assuming attack timing or other modes work.

What we checked

On October 14, 2026, the embedded demo loaded its menu. Keyboard navigation reached Play, Training, Small Wild and Scrap, then a practice scene against Soot. Holding the right arrow moved Scrap across the scene, and P opened the pause menu; Enter resumed it. An A-key attempt did not establish combat or damage. No account or user-supplied files were requested. We did not finish a fight, clear a tower or test touch controls.

The author discloses AI-assisted code and identifies Godot as the engine. Its mobile support and full-game roadmap remain author claims. In the checked Training chooser, Small Wild and Small Domestic were visible while other categories showed locked/full-game notices. The separate Support This Game link was not required for the checked training entry.

Which Animal Combat project?

This Animal Combat browser guide covers GreenFoxCR's original Godot HTML5 fighting demo on itch.io. The opening screen labels the build demo v0.1, and the author lists it as in development. Our limited check used the Training path rather than assuming every visible menu choice led to a finished game mode. The guide links the author's release, not a similarly named clone.

The source lists publication on October 14, 2026 at 04:07 UTC and discloses AI-assisted code. That is separate from our October 14 entry check and from any claim about a finished production process. We did not treat the engine choice, pixel art or AI disclosure as evidence of mobile performance, a complete campaign or working multiplayer.

Six conditions for Animal Combat in browser

Game files

The embedded HTML5 demo loaded its own assets and did not request a ROM, a BIOS, an installation folder or other user-supplied game data. A Godot loading indicator appeared before the menu. We did not download a desktop installer or use the donation path. This check establishes the entry's file requirement, not the absence of network transfers, a measured total download size or an offline mode. Wait for the original build to finish loading before testing its controls.

Controls

Keyboard navigation reached Play, Training, Small Wild and the fighter Scrap. A practice scene against Soot appeared. Holding the right arrow visibly moved Scrap across the stage, and P opened the pause menu; Enter resumed the scene. We also tried A, but that did not establish a verified hit or damage result. The author lists other combat actions, yet this guide confirms only the observed movement and pause path rather than all attacks, special moves or dash timing.

Account

No account, payment or game-file prompt appeared before the checked Training scene. The itch.io login links are for platform actions such as following the author or commenting; they were not used to launch the demo. The separate Support This Game link was also not required for the observed entry. We did not audit every external link or future feature, so anonymous access here should be read as a limited training-entry observation.

Mobile gameplay

The author describes phone play using on-screen touch buttons. We did not open a mobile session or test those controls. Our keyboard check on desktop does not verify touch targeting, simultaneous button presses, screen rotation or mobile browser graphics support. Even if the directory itself fits on a phone, its external game's performance and input remain separate questions. Treat the mobile statement as source documentation until it is directly checked.

Full session

Training is not a completed fight or tower. We entered one practice scene and checked short movement and pause responses, but did not defeat an opponent, finish an arcade sequence or unlock content. In the checked category chooser, Small Wild and Small Domestic were visible while other categories displayed locked or full-game notices. Do not interpret a future-mode label or the author's roadmap as content that this directory has played or confirmed available.

HTTP link check

A separate HTTP request to GreenFoxCR's original release URL returned 200 with no redirect on October 14, 2026. The browser check went further by reaching the embedded menu and a practice scene. These remain different tests: a successful page response cannot verify every Godot asset, a fight result or sustained input. If loading stalls on a later visit, read the current author page and distinguish an engine-loading problem from an account or file requirement.

Choose Training, not a promised future mode

The checked route was Play, Training, Small Wild, then Scrap. The practice screen showed Scrap and Soot with keyboard hints. A separate Edit choice displayed an under-construction notice before we returned to the menu; it was not an editor we verified. Use the available teaching and training paths first. Pause offers several choices, but we only confirmed entering pause and resuming. Save persistence, records, other fighters, other categories and full combat systems were outside the check.
