BreakLock in browser

The original BreakLock release opened its rules and Easy Practice board. A short drag later left the view black; accepted pattern input, scoring, completion and mobile play remain unverified.

Project type: Native browser game

maxwellito's repository and original release describe an HTML5 deduction puzzle with pattern-lock presentation. It is not an Android emulator or a real-device unlocking service.

Classification organized October 16, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.

Before you open it

Getting started

  1. Open the original release and read the instructions rather than interpreting the Android-style grid as access to a real device.
  2. Our entry left Easy and Practice selected. START_ reached a board labelled Connect 4 dots with nine visible points.
  3. Stop and distinguish a blank rendered view from a failed document link if the scene disappears. Our short drag did not establish a valid guess; a reload restored instructions, but completion remains unverified.

What we checked

On October 16, 2026, the original release displayed pattern rules, Easy selected and Practice mode. START_ opened a nine-dot board labelled Connect 4 dots, with a 000 counter and ABORT control. A short horizontal drag across the top row was attempted, but the subsequent visible view was black and no accepted guess or feedback was established. The document still exposed the board text. Reloading returned to the instructions and Start again exposed the board labels; we stopped without another pattern attempt. No account, payment or own-file prompt appeared. The instructions screenshot does not stand in for verified gameplay. We did not solve a pattern, switch difficulty, register, test offline installation, saves or touch input.

maxwellito's repository describes an original HTML5 puzzle combining pattern-lock presentation with deduction. It is not an Android emulator, account-recovery tool or method for unlocking a device. The author's mobile-first and service-worker descriptions are source statements, not results from our desktop check. We did not install an app, enable notifications, bypass a warning or edit external code to make the board respond.

Which BreakLock project?

This BreakLock browser guide follows maxwellito's original release and repository. The start page displayed deduction rules, Easy selected and Practice mode. START_ reached a nine-dot board with a Connect 4 dots instruction, a 000 counter and ABORT. A subsequent short drag did not establish a valid guess: the visible view went black while the document still exposed board text. We record that limitation prominently instead of treating the rules page or a successful HTTP response as proof that a complete puzzle worked.

The review and desktop visit are dated October 16, 2026. Reloading returned to the instructions and another Start exposed the board labels again; we did not repeat the pattern attempt or claim a fix. The public screenshot is the restored instructions page, not a simulated success state. Its Android-style pattern presentation belongs to a deduction game, not to an actual phone lock. No device credentials, personal pattern or account information was entered, and no source date was inferred from a recent repository update.

Six conditions for BreakLock in browser

Game files

No visitor-supplied archive, image, ROM or commercial-game files were requested before the instructions and initial board. The original site delivered its own web resources. We did not measure the download, install a progressive web app or check a disconnected session. The repository's development workflow is separate from the browser release and was not required by the path we followed. This directory hosts neither a copy of the puzzle nor files for unlocking a device. A request-free opening screen is a narrow file observation; it does not promise offline availability, durable progress or successful rendering after every interaction.

Controls

Clicking START_ responded by replacing the setup with a nine-dot board labelled Connect 4 dots. A short horizontal pointer drag across the top row was then attempted. We did not establish an accepted four-dot guess or see the advertised feedback. The subsequent visible view was black, although the document still contained the board labels. For that reason the gameplay-input category remains Unknown, not Pointer. Menu clicks alone are insufficient to confirm puzzle input. The rules describe filled and hollow feedback dots, but those descriptions are not a measured result of our attempt. We did not use hidden state or change external code to force a successful pattern.

Account

No sign-in, email, payment or registration appeared before the initial board or when returning to instructions. We did not create an account, submit a score or contact the author. A number at the top of the board is not evidence of a registered player, saved history or an online leaderboard. Likewise, the directory's bookmark control saves a link to this guide, not a deduction state. The page resembles a device pattern lock but is not connected to our computer's credentials. We used no real unlock pattern and make no account-recovery claim.

Mobile gameplay

Not tested. The source describes a mobile-first web game, but this visit used desktop input and had an inconclusive pattern attempt. We did not test finger gestures, touch cancellation, a phone viewport, installed-app behavior or browser changes of orientation. A source design goal is not a compatibility result. The guide's own small-screen layout checks are separate from the external puzzle. We also did not test translations or switch the displayed language, so an available language control should not be read as proof that every localized instruction or mobile interaction was reviewed.

Full session

The checked entry showed Easy and Practice, then a board asking for four connected dots. The counter displayed 000 before any accepted guess was established. We did not solve the lock, complete a scored run, switch difficulty or verify a saved result. After the black rendered view, a reload restored the instructions and Start exposed board labels again. That recovery step does not prove the original problem is resolved or will happen to every visitor. We stopped without a second pattern attempt. The screenshot deliberately shows rules and setup choices so it cannot be mistaken for a solved puzzle or a valid feedback history.

HTTP link check

A separate HTTPS request to the exact maxwellito.github.io/breaklock/ address returned HTTP 200 with zero redirects on October 16, 2026. Certificate validation was enabled. This describes the document link, not the later drag result. It is possible for instructions and board markup to load while an interaction does not produce a usable visible result, as our visit demonstrated. We did not diagnose a universal cause, alter security settings or install software to work around it. If a visitor meets a similar blank view, distinguish the point where it appeared from the initial document request rather than assuming the link is a 404.

Read the pattern rules without assuming a solved run

The visible instructions say Easy uses four dots, Medium five and Hard six. Filled feedback dots represent correct positions and hollow dots represent included points in different positions. These are rules from the original page, not feedback returned by our short drag. Only the initial Easy Practice setup was inspected. This distinction matters because a screenshot of the introductory example can look like completed gameplay. Use the live source to read its current rules; this guide does not supply a winning pattern, analyze a real device lock or suggest bypassing browser protections. No completion, scoring or offline-installation claim is made here.
