TYPING / BROWSER PROJECT

ZType in browser

PhobosLab's original ZType responded to the letters in a visible word with a projectile and disappearing word. The second attempt ended in Wave 001 with score 3; longer play, custom text, saves and mobile remain unverified.

Basis: project instructions and limited desktop entry observation. Observations: Oct 19, 2026. Conditions organized: October 19, 2026.

Typing l, o and w for the visible low target produced a projectile and removed the word; the second attempt ended with score 3 in Wave 001. No own files or sign-in preceded default play; custom text, stored stats and mobile remain unverified.

Project type: Native browser game

PhobosLab's own games page links zty.pe as its browser game separately from mobile editions. This is the original typing project, not a port of R-Type or a console emulator.

Classification organized October 19, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.

Before you open it

Getting started

  1. Open the creator-linked release and choose New game. Our first menu selection did not immediately leave the title; a later selection reached the opening wave.
  2. Read an actual visible word before typing. In the second attempt, l, o and w removed low and produced a projectile.
  3. Our second attempt later ended at score 3 in Wave 001. Custom text, EMP, saved stats, later waves and touch controls were not checked.

What we checked

On October 19, 2026, zty.pe opened a PhobosLab menu. New game reached word-labelled enemies and a typing prompt. The first attempt was left running during inspection and ended in Wave 001 at score 0; later letters did not establish a hit. A second New game displayed low, timed, sure and made. Pressing l, o and w produced a visible projectile and removed low. Its later result showed score 3, Wave 001, accuracy 100% and longest streak 3, with Loading stats still displayed. No own files, account or payment preceded this path. We did not upload custom text, use EMP, verify stored stats or test mobile play.

PhobosLab's games page links this exact web entry and lists the game's history separately from mobile editions. The screenshot is a short attempt's result, not a promised accuracy score, proof of teaching effectiveness or full-session verification. We did not submit a name, share a result, follow social links or infer that Loading stats completed. An exact first-publication day for the current zty.pe deployment remains unestablished.

Which ZType project?

This ZType browser guide follows PhobosLab's own games page to zty.pe. The checked release is the creator's typing game, not a similarly named fan remake or a different version on a game portal. New game eventually reached moving enemies with visible word labels. In a second opening attempt, entering the letters of low produced a projectile and removed that word. That directly observed response supports text input for the default mode. It does not establish later waves, custom material, saved statistics or learning benefits.

The check and source review are dated October 19, 2026. The first attempt was left running during inspection and ended at zero in Wave 001 before a hit was established. The second later ended in that same wave with score three. We retain both outcomes instead of describing only the successful input. The public screenshot shows the second result, including the displayed accuracy and streak. Those numbers describe three accepted letters in a tiny sample, not a repeatable typing-speed result, a completed wave or an assessment of a player's skill.

Guide published . Source reviewed . Author release-page publication: Not established. The creator's games page lists 2011, but an exact first publication day for the checked zty.pe deployment was not established.

Six conditions for ZType in browser

Game files

Default play requested no owned archive, installation folder, ROM, document or local game data. A separate Load your own text choice was visible in the menu but not used. That optional content route should not be presented as a prerequisite for the default word mode. We uploaded no personal text, pasted no article and supplied no file. The online game still loaded its own resources; no offline visit, cache inventory or completed transfer measurement was made. This directory provides a guide and an actual result screenshot, not a hosted copy of the game or a prepared word list.

Controls

The canvas menu needed a later selection before the opening wave was visibly available; an immediate title view alone did not establish launch. During the second attempt we read low on screen, then pressed l, o and w as individual keys. A projectile appeared and low disappeared. The later result reported score three and longest streak three. Other visible words were not typed. The on-screen prompt also mentioned an EMP action, but it was not exercised. We did not test a virtual keyboard, an alternative keyboard layout, input remapping or custom-text controls. Text input in the directory refers to the verified word response, not complete command coverage.

Account

Neither registration nor payment was requested before the menu, default wave and letter input. We entered no player name, email, password or other account information. Social sharing, feedback and soundtrack destinations were not opened. The result screen displayed Loading stats; we did not establish that this completed or determine where those statistics were stored. A result page is not proof of an account or a successful public score submission. Saving this guide in Tab Game Guide only bookmarks its identifier locally. It does not preserve a ZType run, export statistics or synchronize progress between editions.

Mobile gameplay

Not tested. The creator lists mobile editions separately, while our visit used desktop keyboard letters in the browser version. We did not open a store listing, install an app, tap a virtual keyboard or compare another edition. A portrait play area inside a desktop window does not prove phone input works. We also did not test orientation changes, soft-keyboard overlap, audio behavior or storage on a mobile browser. Responsive checks of this guide concern its own text, links and portrait image, not the external game's ability to accept words or sustain a run on a phone.

Full session

Both observations stayed in Wave 001. The initial attempt ended at zero; the second accepted one three-letter word and later ended with score three, displayed accuracy 100 percent and longest streak three. These are screen readings, not an accuracy benchmark or evidence of a completed wave. We did not use EMP, verify a later difficulty change, complete an extended run or test recovered progress. Loading stats was still shown in the result image, so the screenshot does not establish finished statistics retrieval. A short failed run can confirm a local action while leaving complete-session and persistence questions open.

HTTP link check

An independent HTTPS request to the exact zty.pe root returned HTTP 200 with zero redirects on October 19, 2026. Certificate validation remained enabled. The creator's games page identifies this browser destination, and the visible menu also carries PhobosLab branding. The document response is separate from the letter-input observation: a 200 response alone would not show that enemies render or keys are accepted. Neither that response nor the successful word validates statistics retrieval, optional text loading, social links or future availability. No warning was bypassed, no external script injected and no game state modified to produce the recorded score.

Default words, custom text and a very small score sample

The default New game path and the optional text-loading menu are different workflows. Only the former was exercised. We did not upload private material or assume an unused option works because its label exists. The result's three points and accuracy display should likewise be read in context: one word responded, then the attempt ended before progressing beyond the first wave. This guide does not claim a typing improvement, an educational outcome or a complete high-score service check. The creator's historical year identifies the game's background without establishing an exact deployment date for today's web entry. Other editions and unofficial copies should not inherit this browser observation.

ZType browser FAQ

Which ZType browser release was checked?

The zty.pe entry linked by PhobosLab's own games page, not a fan remake, older entry or mobile app.

Did typing actually respond?

Yes. In the second opening attempt, typing l, o and w for the visible low target produced a projectile and removed the word. The later result showed score three in Wave 001.

Does the 100 percent result prove a typing benchmark?

No. It is the displayed result of one three-letter sample. The first attempt ended at zero, and no complete wave or typing-speed benchmark was verified.

Must I upload text or create an account?

Neither was requested for default play. The custom-text option was unused, and no account, name or personal document was submitted.

Were stats, later waves or mobile play verified?

No. Loading stats remained visible. Stored results, later waves, EMP, custom text, recovery and mobile input were not verified.
