Basis: project instructions and limited desktop entry observation. Observations: Oct 15, 2026. Conditions organized: October 15, 2026.
An invented player name led through asset loading and snapshot waiting to a scene. A W-key attempt ended at a death scoreboard, so movement remains unconfirmed. No account or own files were requested along the checked path.

The original Quake III Arena browser entry credits Q3JS. A client scene was observed, not a completed round or a console emulator.
Classification organized October 15, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.

- Desktop browser and time for the observed client and asset initialization
- A server connection after downloads; the snapshot-waiting screen was separate from the asset loader
- Source-described mobile and gamepad support was not tested here
Getting started
- Open q3.pieter.com and inspect its current author credits and Play entry.
- Enter a display name and choose Play. Our visit passed through asset loading and then a server-snapshot waiting screen.
- Inspect the resulting scene and input prompts yourself. Our W-key attempt did not establish movement or a completed round.
What we checked
On October 15, 2026, an invented player name and Play opened the Quake III client. The loader showed 75.1 MB, then a q3dm7 server-loading screen waiting for a snapshot. A first-person scene later appeared. A brief W-key attempt ended on a death scoreboard, so movement was not established. No account or user-supplied game files were requested; a complete round, aiming, respawn, saving and mobile play were not verified.

The entry credits pieter.com, Q3JS and @lukathedev. Its mobile/gamepad text and changing map or player display are source claims, not compatibility or match-completion tests. The original publication date and publisher authorization were not established.

Which Quake III Arena project?
This Quake III Arena browser guide is specific to q3.pieter.com. The landing page credits the operator and Q3JS; its Play route opened a separate client with asset progress and server-loading states. We followed those visible stages rather than inferring success from the page title or a changing leaderboard. The project is presented as unofficial, and this directory is not its operator, an official release or a game-data download mirror.
Our limited desktop check and this guide are dated October 15, 2026. The browser adaptation's original publication date was not established. A third-party reference can help discover an entry, but it does not prove how long the build has existed or that it belonged to every version of a social-media list. This guide identifies the exact URL, what opened, and the limits of an inconclusive input attempt.

Game files
No installation-folder selection, ROM upload or owned-file prompt appeared on the route we checked. Play opened the client, and its progress interface showed 75.1 MB while downloading assets, including a named baseq3 package. These are observed loading labels rather than a measured total transfer or a statement about legal redistribution. The original site supplies its own network resources; this guide supplies none. Completion of the progress indicator also did not immediately establish a usable server snapshot, which appeared as a separate later waiting stage.
Controls
A first-person scene appeared after the server-loading screen. We attempted a brief W-key input, but the resulting observation was a death scoreboard, not a clean movement comparison. We therefore do not claim that walking was verified or that the key caused the state change. A multiplayer environment can change while a test is being attempted. Mouse aiming, firing, jumping, respawning, menu remapping and controller operation were not independently confirmed. The gameplay-control filter stays unknown even though a keyboard action was attempted.
Account
The entry accepted the invented display name TabGuideCheck and did not request an account, password, email or payment before the observed client scene. This supports an anonymous-entry observation, not a promise about permanent statistics, identity recovery, reserved names or every server option. We did not submit personal credentials, enable notifications or use the optional radio. Other names displayed by the project were not used to estimate audience size or to claim a stable player population. Check current server rules before treating a display name as a persistent account.
Mobile gameplay
The landing page describes mobile and gamepad support. That remains a source statement, not a compatibility result from this check. We used desktop input and did not open a phone session, pair a controller, test touch controls or compare mobile browsers. The fact that a directory page can be read on a phone does not validate a first-person game's controls or performance there. Browser storage limits, graphics behavior and input capture on other devices were outside the observed route and should not be assumed working.
Full session
The client reached a q3dm7 loading screen that said it was waiting for a server snapshot. It later rendered a first-person scene, and a death scoreboard appeared during the short input attempt. None of this amounts to finishing a round or verifying a reliable join-and-respawn cycle. We did not score a confirmed event, finish the time limit, change maps, recover a session or test sustained rendering. The entry screenshot used here identifies the project and does not present a leaderboard or an unfinished round as our gameplay achievement.
HTTP link check
A separate request to q3.pieter.com's root URL returned HTTP 200 with zero redirects on October 15, 2026. That is a landing-page check, not a server-protocol, asset-integrity or performance audit. The browser separately passed through initialization, asset loading, snapshot waiting and a scene. If your visit stalls, identify which stage is visible instead of assuming that a working homepage proves the game server is ready. Conversely, a temporary client delay does not by itself establish that the root website or every player's session is unavailable.
A snapshot wait is not the same as an asset download
The observed asset loader and the later waiting-for-snapshot screen were separate. The first showed files being loaded; the second identified a map and server-connection state. A scene eventually appeared in our session, but we did not establish a guaranteed wait time or a remedy for a failed connection. Keep those stages separate when comparing this entry with Quake II or WebXash. They are different projects with their own engines, data paths and access conditions. We did not clear site storage, turn off certificate checks, install a launcher or change browser security settings to reach the observed scene.

Quake III Arena browser FAQ
Which Quake III browser version does this guide cover?
The unofficial q3.pieter.com entry credited to Q3JS, not every game or service using the Quake III name.
Was movement confirmed?
No. A scene appeared, but a brief W-key attempt ended on a death scoreboard and did not establish a reliable movement response. Other gameplay controls remain unverified.
Why can loading continue after files download?
Our visit showed a separate server-snapshot waiting screen after asset loading. A scene later appeared, but the check did not establish a fixed waiting time or a general connection fix.
Are mobile and gamepad support verified here?
No. Those options are described by the source, but our limited observation used a desktop browser and did not test either one.
Do you host the game or its data?
No. We link to the original project and record its entry conditions. Our checked path requested no own-file upload, but the external client loaded online assets and their distribution rights were not audited.
