ACTION / BROWSER PROJECT
WebLiero in browser
Mario Carbajal's browser recreation of Liero opened player setup and a room list. We inspected displayed arrow, D, S and A bindings, but created no room and did not verify gameplay input.

Basis: project instructions and limited desktop entry observation. Observations: Oct 15, 2026. Conditions organized: October 15, 2026.
Player Setup, Room List and the Input panel opened with an invented name, without registration or own files. Key bindings were read, not played. The Create room dialog was cancelled; no room, connection, scene or game input was tested.
Source & instructions (opens in a new tab)Project type: Browser port
The official Liero site and live About identify Mario Carbajal's online browser recreation of the original PC game. Setup and displayed bindings were inspected, not gameplay or a network connection; it is not a DOS emulator.
Classification organized October 15, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.
Compare classic browser portsBefore you open it
- A player name is not an account registration; later room access and host conditions were not tested
- The displayed input map is documentation, not confirmed movement, jumping or firing; gameplay controls remain unknown
- The original About describes WebRTC connections between players and a host, but no connection or room hosting was tested
Getting started
- Open the original WebLiero entry. Our check entered an invented display name in Player Setup and used Ok to reach Room List.
- Open Settings and Input to read the current bindings. We inspected those assignments without remapping or testing them in a match.
- Review room and network conditions before joining or hosting. Our check inspected and cancelled Create room; no room or public session was created.
What we checked
On October 15, 2026, Player Setup accepted the invented name TabGuideCheck and Ok opened Room List. Settings > Input displayed arrow directions, D for Fire, S for Jump, A for ChangeWeap, C for Dig, Tab for Scoreboard and Enter for Chat. About identified Mario Carbajal and described WebRTC networking. We inspected the Create room dialog, including its name, password, player-limit and Public fields, then cancelled without creating or joining a room. No registration, payment or own-file upload was requested in this path. No scene, shooting, rope use, gameplay controls, network match or mobile play was verified.

The official Liero site links this exact browser game, credits Mario Carbajal and dates WebLiero's release to August 2019 without a precise day. The live About identifies it as an online-multiplayer clone of the 1998 game and credits help from Erik Lindroos and Joosa Riekkinen. Desktop Liero instructions and planned features are not automatically features verified in this browser build.

Which WebLiero project?
This WebLiero browser guide covers the exact project linked by the official Liero site. Its live About page credits Mario Carbajal, also known as Basro, and describes an online-multiplayer recreation of the classic PC game. We checked Player Setup, Room List and the Input settings rather than treating the original desktop game's instructions as proof that a browser match works. The public image deliberately shows the actual setup page, not an unplayed arena or somebody else's screenshot.
Our desktop check and guide are dated October 15, 2026. The official Liero page identifies WebLiero's release month as August 2019, but does not supply an exact day; we have not filled a made-up full date into structured data. The earlier original game's year is a separate fact. We inspected a Create room dialog but cancelled it without creating, joining or advertising any room. This guide therefore records useful entry and control-documentation details while leaving networking and gameplay unverified.

Game files
No owned-game archive, DOS installation folder, executable, custom map or upload was requested during Player Setup, Room List or Input inspection. The website still loaded its own online resources. That is an entry observation, not a guarantee that every room's map or mod is included, a permission finding for every piece of user content or an offline release. We did not import anything, inspect asset packages or establish a completed transfer size. This directory hosts neither the runtime nor Liero game files. An optional room or map workflow should not be mistaken for a prerequisite we actually tested.
Controls
Settings > Input displayed ArrowUp, ArrowDown, ArrowLeft and ArrowRight for directions. It also showed D for Fire, S for Jump, A for ChangeWeap, C for Dig, Tab for Scoreboard and Enter for Chat. We read those visible assignments without remapping, deleting or exercising them in an arena. The room interface and tabs responded to a pointer, but that is not verified game movement or aiming. The directory's gameplay-input category remains unknown. In particular, no rope action, firing, weapon switch, terrain digging or scoreboard response was confirmed, even though relevant action labels appeared in the settings list.
Account
Player Setup accepted the invented name TabGuideCheck and Ok opened Room List without an email, password, registration or payment step. That display name is not evidence of a persistent user account. The later Create room dialog exposed a separate room-name field, an optional password field, a player-limit selector and Public option. We did not enter a password, create a room or determine later host and guest access conditions. No community account, chat message, invite or support email was sent. A directory bookmark stores the project identifier only; it is not a WebLiero identity or a multiplayer connection.
Mobile gameplay
Not tested. Our check used a desktop browser and pointer to inspect setup and the displayed keyboard assignments. We did not test touch controls, a phone keyboard, external controller pairing, orientation or mobile network behavior. A page opening on a small screen would not by itself confirm the multi-key input needed during play. The official site's browser recommendations are source guidance, not compatibility results produced here. This directory's narrow-screen tests concern the guide's text and image, not a mobile WebLiero match or a successful connection to a host.
Full session
No room was created or joined, and no playable arena appeared in this check. We inspected and cancelled the Create room dialog, then returned to settings and Player Setup. The room list alone did not verify a host connection or the availability of a match. We did not establish movement, damage, round completion, score persistence, replays, reconnection or any online result. The game's About section describes features and future work; those statements were not promoted to tested features. The screenshot and status intentionally preserve the narrower entry-and-key-map scope.
HTTP link check
The exact www.webliero.com root URL returned HTTP 200 with zero redirects in a separate HTTPS request on October 15, 2026. An initial browser navigation took longer to become available before the page could be inspected; the later Player Setup and menus rendered. That is not a measured loading-speed result or a universal reliability finding. Certificate validation stayed enabled. A healthy root response does not validate WebRTC, another player's room, later resource requests or future availability. If a visit stops before the lobby or during a connection, record that precise state instead of calling the whole game verified or universally broken.
Displayed bindings are not a tested network match
The live About describes WebRTC connections between players and a room host. We did not establish one, configure network access or change browser protections. Its creator credit and the official Liero site's link identify the project more reliably than a bare game name, while the original game's desktop variants remain separate releases. A visible Create control is only a hosting entry until a room actually exists, and a displayed keyboard binding is only documentation until it produces an observable game response. We stopped before both steps. Visitors can use this page to identify the original setup and read its conditions without treating our inspection as a recommendation for a particular host, mod or public room.
GOOD TO KNOW
WebLiero browser FAQ
Which Liero browser project is this?
WebLiero by Mario Carbajal, linked by the official Liero website and identified in the live About page. It is separate from desktop Liero versions and is not a DOS emulator.
Did you create or join a room?
No. We reached Room List, inspected the Create room dialog and cancelled it. No room was created or joined, and no network match or arena was verified.
Which WebLiero keys were checked?
We read the Input panel's arrows, D for Fire, S for Jump, A for ChangeWeap, C for Dig, Tab for Scoreboard and Enter for Chat. None was tested in gameplay, so controls remain unconfirmed.
Does the checked setup need an account or my files?
Neither registration nor user-supplied game files was requested before the inspected setup and menus. Later room, map, mod and host conditions were not tested.
When was WebLiero released, and is mobile play verified?
The official Liero site dates WebLiero to August 2019 without a precise day. Our check was on October 15, 2026 and did not verify mobile input, gameplay, completion or network access.
