Basis: project instructions and limited desktop entry observation. Observations: Oct 19, 2026. Conditions organized: October 19, 2026.

X reached the laboratory, Right moved the character and another X produced a jump. No own files or sign-in were requested. C shooting was only documented, not tested; completion, saves and mobile remain unverified.

Project type: Native browser game

The original creator article and live credits identify an HTML5/JavaScript game built with Impact. This browser platformer is not a Flash wrapper or an emulator of a separately owned console title.

Classification organized October 19, 2026 from the recorded source and check notes; not a new gameplay test.

Before you open it

Getting started

  1. Allow the original Impact loading screen to finish. Our title displayed the X-or-C start prompt.
  2. Focus the game area and press X to enter the initial laboratory. A short Right input moved the character.
  3. A short X input produced a visible jump. We stopped before testing C, obstacles, enemies, level completion or saved progress.

What we checked

On October 19, 2026, the original playbiolab.com entry first showed the Impact loader, then a title prompt to press X or C. Clicking the game area and pressing X reached the opening laboratory. A 250 ms Right input changed the character's horizontal position and shifted the view; a 100 ms X input visibly lifted the character above the floor. The final screenshot showed the character back on the starting floor. The page listed C for shooting, but we did not test it. No own-file, account or payment step preceded this path. We did not fight, finish a room or level, test saving, watch the making-of video or check mobile input.

The creator's original article identifies a JavaScript/HTML5 browser game built with Impact; the live page also credits Dominic Szablewski. Its September 13, 2010 article date is historical documentation, not a verified publication day for today's playbiolab.com deployment. Old browser and mobile performance remarks are not reproduced as current compatibility findings. No installation, account or paid product was used.

Which Biolab Disaster project?

This Biolab Disaster browser guide covers playbiolab.com, the web entry linked by the creator's own games page. Its live credits identify Dominic Szablewski, and the linked article describes an original HTML5 game built with Impact. The entry initially showed a loader, then a title prompt. Pressing X with the game area focused reached a laboratory scene. Short Right and X inputs moved the character and produced a visible jump. This is an opening movement check, not a completed room, fight or level.

The visit and source review are dated October 19, 2026. The public image is the actual laboratory after those inputs, with the character back on the floor. It is framed around the complete game area rather than borrowing the title artwork as evidence of gameplay. The creator's September 2010 article provides historical context, but it is not treated as the current deployment's exact first-publication day. Its old browser-performance discussion is also distinct from our limited desktop observation and should not be read as a current mobile compatibility test.

Guide published . Source reviewed . Author release-page publication: Not established. The creator article is dated September 13, 2010, but the exact first publication day of the checked playbiolab.com deployment was not established.

Six conditions for Biolab Disaster in browser

Game files

No visitor-supplied archive, disk image, installation folder or owned commercial game data was requested before the laboratory. The original page loaded its own resources through an Impact loading screen. We did not install a plugin, unpack files, import progress or use the engine's development tools. The source identifies an HTML5 game, which is different from a requirement to install Flash or a console emulator. This record does not measure total transfer size, validate a complete cache or promise offline play. Tab Game Guide hosts the notes and a screenshot only, not the game runtime or replacement assets.

Controls

The title prompted X or C to start. After focusing the game area, we used X and reached the initial laboratory. A 250-millisecond Right input changed the character's horizontal position and shifted the view. A subsequent 100-millisecond X input visibly lifted the character above the floor. The final screenshot was taken after landing. The page also lists C for shooting, but that key was not exercised. We did not test left movement, repeated jumps, air control, damage, aiming, remapping or a controller. The keyboard category rests on the actual movement and jump responses rather than the full printed key list.

Account

The loading screen, title and first laboratory required no registration, email, password or payment. We connected no account and followed no store, community or support workflow. The creator and engine links identify the release; they were not prerequisites requiring a paid development product for this browser visit. We also did not submit a name or saved run. This is an account condition for the opening path, not a statement about every outside destination. Bookmarking the guide in this directory stores its reference locally and does not create a Biolab profile, preserve the character's location or recover progress in the external game.

Mobile gameplay

Not tested. The check used desktop keyboard input, not a touchscreen, virtual controls or a native app. The creator has historical browser and mobile discussion, but those old observations were not repeated here and are not presented as current support results. We did not rotate a device, evaluate a phone keyboard, inspect mobile audio or test background behavior. The guide's responsive checks only concern readable text, navigation and an uncropped image. They cannot establish that the external platformer can accept simultaneous actions, sustain a frame rate or preserve progress on a specific mobile device.

Full session

We stopped in the opening laboratory after a short move and jump. No enemy fight, shooting action, collectible, obstacle sequence, level transition or ending was verified. The screenshot shows the initial scene and character on its floor, not a completed room. No manual saving, export, import, refresh or recovered run was tested. The title and scene being available at one visit also do not prove long-term stability or every level's resource availability. This narrow status is intentional: an observable movement response is useful evidence, while the rest of the platformer's progression remains unvisited rather than assumed to work.

HTTP link check

An independent HTTPS request to the exact playbiolab.com root returned HTTP 200 with zero redirects on October 19, 2026. Certificate validation remained enabled. The creator's games page links that entry, and its credits and blog link supply matching first-party context. The document response is separate from the later loaded scene and key responses. A healthy document cannot prove every asset, later level, another browser or future visit works. No certificate warning was bypassed and no external code was modified to force launch. If a future visit remains on the loader, report that state separately from this completed opening check.

Original HTML5 game versus engine documentation

The live page links the Impact engine and a making-of video, but playing the checked web entry did not require opening either. We did not watch the video, install an editor or reproduce a local build. The game and its development tools are different products and workflows. Likewise, the printed C shooting instruction is documentation until it is exercised; our observation only confirms X launch, rightward movement and an X jump. The source's historical date and platform remarks provide provenance, not a fresh launch announcement or a broad compatibility certification. The actual laboratory image is kept separate from the title illustration and from any untested later content.

Biolab Disaster browser FAQ

Which Biolab Disaster browser entry was checked?

playbiolab.com, linked by the creator's games page and matching its original article and live credits. No mirror or packaged edition was used.

How did the opening start?

After the Impact loader and title, focusing the game area and pressing X reached the first laboratory. The alternative C start key was not tested.

Which gameplay keys actually worked?

A short Right input moved the character and a short X input produced a visible jump. C shooting was documented on the page but not exercised.

None was requested before the opening laboratory. The original game still loaded online resources; offline play and saved progress were not checked.

Is combat, completion or mobile play verified?

No. We stopped after initial movement and jumping without shooting, a fight, a level transition, recovery or a mobile gameplay test.
